First Cousin
Once-Removed
Any person who is your first cousin once-removed must also be:
1) the child of one of your blood related great-aunts or
great-uncles; 2) the grandchild of one of your great-grandparents; or 3) the
first cousin
of either of your parents.
Note: There are
two distinct groups of relatives that can be correctly identified as "first
cousins once-removed." The other group is derived from a lineal
relation with an aunt or uncle.
