First Cousin Twice-Removed

Any person who is your first cousin twice-removed must also be:

1) the great-great-grandchild of one of your blood related aunts or uncles; 2) the grandchild of one of your great-great-grandparents; or 3) the great-great-niece or great-great-nephew of one of your parents.

Note: There are two distinct groups of relatives that can be correctly identified as "first cousins twice-removed."  The other group is derived from a lineal relation with an great-great-aunt or great-great-uncle.
